I have made a few different quiet books, but they all were for a child that was a little older to be understanding numbers, colors, and such. So when my 4 month old baby was already getting bored in church I realized I needed to make a quiet book that could entertain a baby.
So this quiet book is much smaller in size so it can fit in my baby's lap and the pages focus more on sensory things. I was able to use lots of stuff I already had and got creative with those things to make it something exciting for my baby.
I did have ribbon to tie the book closed but my baby ripped it out with in a few weeks haha.
The first page is just pipe cleaners and pom poms super glued on. The second page is fun ribbons with different textures and colors.
The third page is fun buttons I sewed on and it is by far my baby's favorite page. Then on the page next to it is a zipper and the two different sides of velcro.
These two pages I are some fun fur materials I had left over from other projects.
These pages I did strips of some scraps I had of different textured materials.
Lastly we have a page of flat buttons and googley eyes and then my personal favorite the two sided sequence.
This has been a great distraction for my baby in church. His favorite pages are the ribbons, buttons, and sequence.
